Looks - a cool look can be defined as trendy and in fashion, be it for a guy or a girl.
Objects/Accessories - nice and trendy things are considered cool while outdated objects which are out of fashion or things which may even look cheap are considered uncool.
Ideas - great idea or a good thoughts are always cool and disgusting ideas are uncool
Manners/behaviour - people's attitude, behaviour are also defined by this four-letter word. A cool guy is not literally a person who has cool head, but maybe his way of talking/dressing/attitude etc are appealing and hence he is cool.
Music/Films/Videos/Books - the Adjective cool is also being used to decide the popularity of a music album, of a song or of a film. If its a cool movie, it means people like it, enjoy viewing it.
However, I find cool is a very relative word. It is used to explain one's perception. If I find a particular sunglass cool, my friend may not find it that cool. So necessarily it means while I like the sunglass, my friend does not. To my friend another sunglass will seem cool. End of the day, everything depends on one's own view and perception.
